    Description

    Vaco Boston has collaborated with a client seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. The Senior Accountant reports to the Controller and is responsible for various accounting activities, including payroll backup service, assisting with audits, among others.

    • Manage the monthly balance sheets including account reconciliations
    • Review and analyze transaction level detail for accuracy in accounts
    • Maintain appropriate level of documentation and backup
    • Prepare monthly cash flow and projections for select accounts
    • Prepare daily cash balance report for management review
    • Update policies and procedures documentation
    • Participate in ad hoc projects and teams
    • Perform testing for systems enhancements and reports
    • Handle the flow of invoices through paperless system ensuring accuracy and efficiency
    • Perform AP system administration maintenance
    • Act as point of contact for internal and external questions
    • Responsible for journal entries related to cash reconciliation, revenue, and AP related entries
    • Assist with various audits gathering required documentation
    Requirements:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required
    • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications with strong Excel skills
    • Works well in a team environment and possesses strong communication skills
