    Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC)

    Location: Memorial Villages

    Department: ASC Endoscopy

    Job Type: Full Time

    Nursing care is provided to patients in an assigned unit by RN I, II, III, and IV. Each level requires specific knowledge, skills, and certifications.

    Nurse Responsibilities

    • RN I: Provides nursing care under supervision, using Texas Nurse Practice Act standards.
    • RN II: Demonstrates proficiency in patient care, develops relationships with clinic staff, and communicates effectively.
    • RN III: Works in multiple units, precepts new employees, assumes charge role when needed, and contributes to process improvement.
    • RN IV: Works in multiple units, performs endoscopy room nursing care, and facilitates patient experience.

    Qualifications

    • RN I/II: Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN)
    • RN III: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred, 5 years RN experience required
    • RN IV: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required, 7 years RN experience required

    Experience

    • RN I: No experience required
    • RN II: 2 years RN experience in PACU, Pre-OP, or Endoscopy required
    • RN III: 5 years RN experience in PACU, Pre-OP, or Endoscopy required
    • RN IV: 7 years RN experience in Pre-OP, PACU, or Endoscopy required

    Certifications

    • RN I/II: Texas RN license, American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
    • RN III: Texas RN license, American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
    • RN IV: Texas RN license, American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Certified Ambulatory Peri Anesthesia Nurse (CAPA)
