    Description
    We are looking for a Senior Plastics Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at the new manufacturing facility. In this position, you will play a key role in planning, designing, and optimizing plastic manufacturing processes to ensure efficient production, product quality, and cost-effectiveness. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and the implementation of best practices will be essential for success. The Senior Plastics Manufacturing Engineer holds a crucial role in the creation of top-notch plastic products.

    • None
    Duties/Responsibilities:
    • Plan, develop, and optimize plastic manufacturing processes, including structural foam and injection molding.
    • Enhance efficiency through equipment layout optimization, workflow improvement, and workforce utilization.
    • Identify necessary parts, equipment, and tools to meet manufacturing goals based on product specifications.
    • Validate processes and verify activities to ensure consistent product quality and compliance with industry standards.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new processes, materials, and technologies seamlessly.
    • Perform feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost-benefit analyses for proposed manufacturing projects.
    • Resolve production issues through root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
    • Document work instructions, process maps, and SOPs.
    • Lead continuous improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
    • Establish quality control procedures to monitor product consistency and regulatory compliance.
    • Provide leadership within the work group.
    • Contribute to advanced technical projects requiring specialized knowledge.
    • Assist in various additional duties as needed.
    Required Skills/Abilities:
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
    • Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
    • Great listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
    Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Plastics Engineering, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in plastics manufacturing processes, including injection molding and extrusion.
    • Proficiency in CAD software for tooling and fixture design.
    • Familiarity with quality control methodologies and relevant standards (ISO, ASTM, etc.).
    • Experience in Project Management is advantageous.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
