    Position Summary: As a System Administrator within our Information Services department, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the performance, security, and efficiency of our IT infrastructure. This position requires a strong understanding of IT operations and cybersecurity principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at multiple levels.

    Essential Job Functions:

    1. System Administration: Oversee the administration and maintenance of various systems, including servers, storage, databases, hypervisors, and cloud infrastructure, to ensure optimal performance and protection.
    2. Security Coordination: Work closely with other administrators, engineers, analysts and partners to align security configurations and practices with industry standards.
    3. Incident Response: Serve as a key member of the incident response team, responding to and resolving service and security incidents promptly to minimize impact.
    4. Patch Management: Manage the deployment of security patches and system updates to mitigate vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with security best practices.
    5. Backup and Disaster Recovery: Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions to protect against data loss and ensure business continuity in the event of a system failure or breach.
    6. User Access Management: Administer user accounts, permissions, and access controls to ensure only authorized individuals have access to sensitive information and resources.
    7. System Monitoring and Logging: Monitor system metrics and logs for unexpected changes, investigate anomalies, engage security resources to investigate suspicious activity, and take appropriate actions to maintain system performance, availability, integrity and security.
    8. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and incidents, and generate reports as needed for compliance and auditing purposes.
    9. Collaboration and Training: Collaborate with key stakeholders within IT and other departments to understand requirements and provide training and support to staff on system operation and protection.
    Skills:
    • Windows Server Administration: Proficient in administering Microsoft Windows Server and related services.
    • Microsoft Cloud Administration: Experience administering Microsoft cloud infrastructure and services, including Azure, Entra ID, Exchange, O365, Teams, and SharePoint.
    • VMware Administration: Proficient in administering VMware hypervisors and virtual servers. Experience administering vSphere 8 preferred.
    • Scripting and Automation: Proficient in PowerShell scripting and other automation tools for system administration and IT operations tasks.
    • Linux Server Administration: Knowledge of basic Linux administration tools and practices. Experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux preferred.
    • SQL Server Administration: Knowledge of basic SQL Server administration practices and ability to coordinate with senior engineers and database administrators.
    • Cybersecurity Knowledge: Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices and their application to system administration.
    • Incident Response: Experience contributing to service incident management and security incident response in an enterprise environment.
    • Patch Management: Familiarity with the application of patch management methodologies and tools in an enterprise datacenter setting.
    • Backup and Disaster Recovery: Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery solutions and strategies.
    • User Access Management: Experience in administering system user accounts and access controls.
    • System Monitoring: Ability to monitor system logs and alerts, detect anomalies and correlate events.
    • Documentation: Proficient in maintaining accurate documentation of system configurations and procedures.
    • Collaboration: Ability to collaborate effectively with other IT teams and departments. Training: Experience in providing training and support to front line IT staff.
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience, in Information Technology or related field.
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in system administration, with a focus on cybersecurity.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Healthcare experience preferred, with a strong understanding of healthcare IT security standards and compliance requirements.
    • Proactive and self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems.
    • Professional certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, VMware Certified Professional, CompTIA: Server+ preferred.
    Hours: 8 to 5, M-F Some nights and weekends
