- Knowledge, skills, and ability to interpret, edit, and draft facility single line diagrams
- Ability to configure smart meters, test meters and other devices in the AMRS meter lab for compatibility with AMRS software and provide expert technical advice to the AMRS PMO.
- Ability to conduct field assessments of existing Air Force facility electrical systems, analyze system components, develop metering recommendations, and provide written documentation, site assessment reports, precommissioning, and final commissioning support.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in AF facility electric power systems
- DOD 8570 and IAT Level II certification

Description
The successful candidate will work within the US Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC) to provide technical advice for acquisition, development, and/or sustainment of data networks and facility related control systems (FRCS), sub- systems, support equipment, and cyber security relating to Advanced Meter Reading Systems (AMRS)He/She will create/maintain an inventory database of all Air Force meters and metered facilities and collect data from site surveys and Air Force Base Energy Managers
The candidate will assist with designing and configuring dedicated serial networks and cyber-secure Ethernet networks and cyber-secure Windows based systems for advanced meter reading systems
This position will require travel to Air Force bases to perform site surveys of advanced meter reading systems (AMRS) currently in place, prepare 'As-Found' reports of the AMRS devices, network components, and device/component configurations, and present detailed reports to government Program Management Officers and make recommendations for security and performance improvements to the systems
Working within the RMF process, he/she will assist in program expansion by traveling to, and performing, detailed site surveys for designing and planning of new AMRS systems at Air Force Bases wherein advanced IP capable metering systems do not yet exist
