- Conduct speech assessments, testing, and diagnostic examinations of students to recommend appropriate actions for maximizing learning potential and addressing speech challenges.
- Provide individual, group, or facilitative therapy for students.
- Support in identifying and placing exceptional students.
- Collaborate with administrators and fellow teachers to understand students' needs and abilities, particularly those with special requirements, and to introduce stakeholders to speech services.
- Participate in meetings related to students with special needs.
- Act as a consultant and resource.
- Stay updated with professional knowledge through seminars, workshops, or research to enhance educational practices.
- Maintain accurate student records and share necessary information with colleges and employers, following district protocols and laws.
