The purpose of this classification is to implement and administer the Geographic Information System (GIS) and includes planning and organizing system development and operation, coordinating vendor contracts, providing technical expertise, and implementing systems, policies and procedures.

- Plans GIS system operations;
- Serves as liaison between departments for GIS needs;
Responsibilities
- Maintains enterprise data models;
- Publishes open data sets per City established policies;
- Distributes information about the use of geographic technology.
