    Position Summary:

    The Lead Fireplace Installer will be responsible for the on-time installation of fireplaces. Accurately and carefully, load/unload & install products for customers in excellent condition. Address all customers in a courteous, respectful manner at all times. Communicate via company cell phone; report any installation issues to install manager & site Supers.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    1. Load and inspect all products to be installed for that day
    2. Review all paperwork before leaving warehouse to insure you have all the correct information and materials needed for installs
    3. Ensure absolute customer satisfaction in all forms of communication.
    4. Drive safely at all times when in company vehicle. Follow all company policies with regard to driver safety and distracted driving.
    5. Inspect Jobsite for safety and readiness
    6. Review paperwork for job site readiness so that install can be completed on first time.
    7. Safely bring all products necessary for install into area where work will be completed by utilizing all materials handling equipment needed.
    8. Follow all install policies and procedures as outlined by Rio Grande Co. and manufacturer installation manual
    9. Instruct and train "fireplace helper" so they can be ready to become fireplace lead at some point if, and when needed.
    10. Complete all work for each job while still on site. Take appropriate photographs and complete all paperwork as outlined in standard work procedures.
    11. Communicate with job superintendent, Fireplace install manager and sales representative if any issues occurred when fireplace was not completed.

    Duties and Responsibilities: (cont.)

    1. Once day's work is completed, return to warehouse.
    2. Turn in paperwork to install manager to review (along with photo card)
    3. NFI Certification is required.
    4. Factory Training is required
    5. 100% complete on HearthED
    6. Competent in HHT products, Montigo Products, and a good knowledge of wood and gas fireplaces in general

    Required Certifications:

    1. NFI Certification
    2. HearthED training through
    3. Factory Training from Hearth & Home Technologies
    4. CSA Defensive Driving Course

    Key Performance Indicators:

    1. Produce a high level of customer service with detailed work and accuracy
    2. Follow all company safety policies and procedures

    Preferred Qualifications:

    1. Background in building/construction industry
    2. Mechanically inclined with power and hand tools
    3. Not afraid of heights, able to use ladder, 40 feet and higher
    4. Heavy lifting, up to 125 pounds
    5. Personable with good communication skills
    6. Detail oriented
    7. Ability to multi-task
    8. Ability to work alone or as part of a team

    Safety Assessment/Typical Working Conditions

    The work environment for a Lead Fireplace Installer is generally outdoors on jobsites, in commercial construction settings or exposed to the elements such as heat, cold, sunlight, darkness, wind, rain, lightning, snow and dust. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.
