    General Statement

    Under direction, oversees the operation of all storerooms, the distribution of inventoried materials and identification, maintenance and distribution of District spare parts inventories.

  • Supervises operations in the District's storerooms; directs the ordering, receiving, handling, temporary and permanent storage, movement, and dispersal of materials, spare parts and equipment and the disposal of scrap; evaluates, recommends and approves items for permanent storage in the central warehouse.
  • Develops and implements optimum storeroom operating plans, procedures, layouts, performance standards and controls; develops retention and disposal procedures and guidelines.
  • Directs inventory identification methods, parts forecasting, reporting procedures, and related controls to ensure accurate inventories; trains engineers and trades employees on the inventory catalog system.
  • Assists plant management in the planning and scheduling of spare parts inventories for work orders; manages the online requisitioning procedure for spare parts; evaluates user requests for parts against existing inventories.
