W Talent are thrilled to be on the hunt for Senior Electrical Engineers with extensive experience within the utility scale solar market.

Our client is a consulting, engineering, and construction services firm that specializes in a range of sectors, including renewable energy. Within the utility solar sector, our client provides comprehensive services encompassing due diligence, site selection, electrical and civil engineering, construction management, and environmental services. They are involved in large-scale solar projects, leveraging their expertise to handle all phases of project development from initial planning and permitting through to construction and operational support.

Responsibilities:

• Project Supervision and Design: Oversee and design electrical infrastructure for renewable power projects, including wind, solar, and battery storage systems, ensuring adherence to industry standards and project specifications.
• Technical Oversight: Review and manage the creation of electrical designs for a variety of renewable energy technologies such as wind turbines, solar panels, battery storage, EV DC fast charging, and microgrids.
• Engineering and Construction Experience: Utilize hands-on design engineering and construction experience with a mix of renewable technologies including wind, solar, and battery storage to guide project execution and development.
• Support and Software Utilization: Assist in the development of renewable energy proposals, operate design and performance evaluation software for energy systems, and perform specialized electrical engineering roles within renewable power markets.

The ideal candidate for this position will hold all, or a majority of the following qualifcations...

• Industry Experience: At least 5 years of proven electrical engineering design experience in power generation, battery energy storage, or microgrid projects ranging from industrial scale to utility scale.
• Technical Expertise: Skilled in electrical design, construction, and commissioning for power generation facilities, including Electrical Design and Project Management.
• Educational Background: Holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
• Professional Collaboration: Experienced in working with IPP's, utilities, ISO's, EPC firms, and developers.
• Professional Engineering licence or the ability to recieve it within the next 6 months is highly desirable.

Salary range:

• $95,000 to $140,000
