The PositionPlease note there are two positions available and both are for a 2 year fixed TERM position.
Hillsboro Technical Operations (HTO) is a manufacturing organization responsible for the reliable delivery of biologics drug product & finished goods, both for Roche's commercial portfolio as well as launch products.
They are joined in their support of Operations by a number of additional functions, including Quality, Safety & Environment, Material Management (Warehousing & Supply Chain), Finance, and People & Culture.
All of these groups bring their unique capabilities & perspectives to work together in service of our patients, our employees, and our community.
The Opportunity:
The Automation Engineer I will play a key role in the support of our site's make, assess, and release process.
This individual will provide frontline support and work collaboratively with DPMS, engineering, utilities and reliability teams to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment and processes.
The individual selected for this role needs to have a continuous improvement mindset.Finally, the individual who is chosen for this role will have a strong capacity as a hands-on troubleshooter in a GMP environment.
Provides automation upskilling and knowledge transfer to the HTO DPMS Team.Leads Unplanned Event Investigations related to Process Automation.
Implements code changes and continuous improvements to reduce equipment downtime and enhance reliability.
Active participant at the Process Team huddles.
Develops, Deploys and Tests automation solutions in support of Drug Product operations.
Work in lock step with the HTO DPMS team to troubleshoot complex issues on the shop floor.
Participate in continuous improvement programs to support the Commercial Value Streams.
Ensure systems maintain their validated states.
Who you are:
You have a BS degree.
You have experience with ControlLogix PLC, FactoryTalk View ME/SE, & Emerson DeltaV.
You have experience with Siemens Building Automation Systems.
You have a basic understanding of P&ID and electrical drawings and you can leverage these skills during equipment troubleshooting situations.
You can participate as a member of the Automation On Call Rotation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong initiative and integrity as well as strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to apply automation solutions and troubleshooting to solve complex problems on highly automated equipment.
Must have working experience in regulated industries such as Pharmaceutical, Medical Devices or Food and Beverage.
Ability to work collaboratively within cross functional team environments.
The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location for this position of Hillsboro, Oregon is $65,000 - $120,000.
