Job description
Trial attorney seeks results-oriented individual to assist cases.
This is a unique opportunity for a driven individual who wants to be challenged and learn how successful litigation really works.
$15-25/hour - 40 hours/week
QUALIFICATIONS
- Accountable and committed to delivering high-quality legal work.
- Self-starter and goal oriented a must.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong computer skills: proficiency in MS Office Suite and document management systems, ability to quickly learn proprietary software systems and databases
- Experience with drafting and preparing pleadings, documents, timelines, records; corresponding with clients, courts, and other firms; assembling exhibits; summarizing transcripts; reviewing and analyzing discovery; and trial preparation
- Experience drafting and responding to discovery requests (completing interrogatories, document production, etc.)
- Professional, clear and effective communication both written and verbal a must
- Must be able to multitask and successfully manage a variety of demands and meet deadlines
- Ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment
- Driver's license, Insurance, and reliable car
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Shepardize cases
- Prepare records, review and prepare exhibits, and trial preparation
- Contact outside sources to retrieve information and review and analyze same
- Search and retrieve information from court-related databases as well as other online resources for case research information
- Review, analyze and organize document productions
- Summarize transcripts and organize key documents
- Prepare and organize materials needed for expert and attorney review
- Manage documents, create and maintain organized case files digitally
- Run errands for office
- Prepare client billing statements
- Working both from law office and client's home
