Job Title: Tool Design Engineer

Responsibilities

Create tool designs for progressive stamping, encompassing all necessary assemblies, details, and manufacturing data. (60%)
Collaborate with team members and other departments to plan product manufacturing processes through tool design analysis. (20%)
Provide design support to internal and external tooling teams during the production of tooling and prototypes. (10%)
Maintain accurate design records for long-term usability. (10%)

Desired Skills and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and innovative thinking.
Understanding of Progressive Die design for sheet metal or similar manufacturing processes.
Machine shop experience or knowledge.
Problem-solving skills: Analytical mindset with the ability to assess problem-solving options effectively.
Team player: Collaborative approach across teams for project planning and issue resolution.
Software proficiency: Utilization of Mechanical design software like AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Inventor, as well as Microsoft Suite.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

Physical Requirements
Regular standing, walking, seeing, talking, hearing, and occasional sitting. Handling large equipment, standing for extended periods, and lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment
Potential exposure to heat, cold, loud noise levels, vibration, and moving mechanical parts.

Travel Required
No domestic travel expected.

Work Status & Location
Full-time position based in Stockton, CA.

Relocation
Position does not offer relocation assistance.

Compensation
$77,200 - $100,300 per year.
