    PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Participate in the development and implementation of direct material buying and sourcing strategies.
    Assesses current material availability; reasonably predicts future availability based on the market, delivery systems, and other variables.
    Responsible for the interaction between the company and supply base.
    This is to include supplier surveys, product qualification, process control, non-conforming material, and corrective action requests.
    Work closely with Quality Department to oversee supplier compliance with internal quality standards and expected quality metrics.
    Ensure that supply chain is always available in inventory for production, while maintaining appropriate inventory turns.
    Analyze quotes and making recommendations for award.
    Maintain and input necessary data/records in the company purchasing system.
    Document report requirements, commodity performance metrics and vendor scorecards. Maintain & create procurement documents to ensure the production team is informed of material constraints and risks.
    Collaborate with management to establish strategic direction and objectives. Supplier qualification, creation of evaluation and re-evaluation processes, and creating dual sourcing strategies when necessary.
    Identify cost reduction opportunities and report on annualized savings.
    Initiate the sourcing

    process by issuing RFQ's.
    Prepare and process purchase order and change orders.
    Research and resolve AP/AR discrepancies.
    Ability to travel as needed.


    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
    Requires a 4-year B.S. degree.
    3+ years' purchasing/buyer experience in the manufacturing and/or engineering field.


    PREFERRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
    Preference given for experience in Solar, Renewable Energy or Power Generation.
    Experience in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
    Experience with ERP/MRP systems strongly preferred.
    Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

    Salary $63,000 - $83,000 annually, dependent on experience, qualifications, and competencies
