Project Manager - New York City Metropolitan Area

Job description
Faction Imaging is looking for a well-rounded project manager to coordinate our research and development efforts and manage our New York City research and development office. We are looking for a multi-tasker: someone who can create and maintain schedules and budgets using project management software, recruit new employees, organize file systems and arrange for the purchasing of parts, shipments, and office supplies.
Faction is a growing company developing next generation medical imaging technology. You will be working with the CTO and a small team of R&D engineers in our office and helping to manage projects involving contractors from all over the country. Looking for a highly organized, independent person who can work independently in a start-up environment and help create the organizational infrastructure we need.
Desired Experience:
- 3+ years experience in a combination of engineering project management, office management and administrative assistant roles
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft World, Microsoft Powerpoint, Microsoft Sharepoint, Microsoft Project, Jira
- Experience working in an engineering firm or research and development lab is a plus
- Technical background in engineering is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining project schedules and budgets
- Keeping track of the progress of engineering projects relative to key milestones
- Coordinating meetings
- Coordinating with IT staff for infrastructure updates and new employee onboarding
- Assisting with recruitment and onboarding new employees and contractors
- Coordinating with accounting department regarding payment of contractors when necessary
- Managing Faction's R&D office: ensuring supplies are stocked, managing incoming and outgoing shipments and other miscellaneous tasks
This is a part-time, hybrid, position with the potential to convert to full-time.
