    Summary:


    As a CPQ Lead Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in providing technical leadership and development expertise for Salesforce CPQ implementation projects.

    You will work to assess current business processes and pain points, proposing solutions through Salesforce and CPQ technologies. Your responsibilities encompass the entire project lifecycle, from design to deployment, user adoption, and ongoing improvements.

    Responsibilities:


    Provide guidance and leadership in Salesforce CPQ implementation projects, ensuring that the solutions align with business objectives and technology best practices.

    Analyze existing business processes and challenges and recommend how Salesforce CPQ can address them effectively.

    Design and develop applications that align with long and short-term IT and business strategies, emphasizing integration expertise across the organization.

    Drive the entire lifecycle of integration solutions, from conception to launch and post-launch support.
    Stay updated on emerging technologies to develop innovative business solutions and applications.
    Be flexible, address issues professionally, and manage project timelines effectively, adapting to changing priorities.
    Work closely with cross-functional teams to create complex and business-critical software solutions, adhering to software engineering processes.
    Establish programming and development standards, procedures, and architectures to promote code reuse and maintainability.
    Act as an internal consultant, advocate, mentor, and change agent within the organization.
    Possess a thorough understanding of object-oriented approaches in program design, coding, testing, and debugging.
    Develop and maintain design plans for technical IT architecture, including distributed application and architecture frameworks.
    Define and maintain efficient development processes, coding standards, design patterns, testing methodologies, and development tools and procedures.
    Collaborate with senior business leaders to understand use cases and translate them into technical solutions within the Salesforce ecosystem.
    Evaluate tools and new capabilities and provide recommendations to IT leadership on their validity and potential benefits.
    Support the design and approval of integrations between Salesforce and other systems, whether cloud-hosted or ADT-hosted.
    Distinguish between business use cases that can be addressed using out-of-the-box Salesforce features and those that require custom code. Promote best practices by minimizing custom code whenever possible.
    Ensure adherence to Salesforce governor limits while developing custom solutions. Leverage features like asynchronous processing, batch processing, and efficient coding techniques to stay within these limits.
    Thoroughly document every development task using design documents and flow diagrams to maintain clarity and consistency.
    Conduct in-depth reviews of development done by peers and provide constructive feedback to maintain code quality.
    Write scenario-based test classes to support automated testing of developed code.
    Assist in training new users and promote the growth of skill sets across the organization.
    Act as an effective liaison between users and application development teams to bridge communication gaps.

    Education:
    Four (4) year degree, advanced degree preferred.
    Salesforce CPQ Specialist certified.
    Salesforce Platform Developer II certified.
    Qualifications
    5+ years of strong Salesforce development experience.
    2+ years of experience on full lifecycle Salesforce CPQ project with strong implementation expertise.
    Experience in leading design and solutions with Enterprise Architecture for Salesforce implementations.
    Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems issues.

    Strong understanding of Salesforce CPQ capabilities, best practices and limitations and the ability to clearly communicate those to key stakeholders.

    Experience building flow process software including Lucid Chart, Visio, or another tool.

    Please note, although this role is fully remote, it will require availability to travel for in-person meetings once a quarter.


    Compensation & Benefits:
    The salary range for this role is $106,047-$212,095 and is based on experience and qualifications.
    Certain roles are eligible for annual bonus and may include equity. These awards are allocated based on company and individual performance.

    Employees accrue up to 120 hours in their first year. Your accrual rate increases after your first year. We also offer 6 paid holidays.
