    Summary
    Assists Clumpies Ice Cream Chef and Ice Cream Maker with all production needs at the Clumpies kitchen.

    Under the direction of the Clumpies Ice Cream Chef the Culinary Intern is responsible for performing the following duties:

    Responsibilities

    • Delivers excellent guest service to internal and external customers in line with the organization's mission, culture, and values.
    • Models appropriate guest and partner interaction at all times.
    • Performs setup, breakdown, and clean up procedures of all equipment and production space at the Clumpies kitchen.
    • Maintains facilities in accordance with Department of Agriculture and FDA regulations as instructed by leadership.
    • Assists with all ice cream production to Clumpies standards and on schedule with Clumpies production schedule. and deadlines. This includes prep of bakery items, sauces and inclusions, ice cream mix, and all other functions as instructed by leadership.
    • Assists with placing orders as needed, including picking up orders and supplies from local vendors.
    • Complies with both Clumpies' and Rock City's employment policies and procedures.
    • Delivers ice cream to the store and wholesale customers in the Clumpies truck.
    • Prepares special event carts for events as needed.
    • Performs other duties as assigned by management.
    Requirements:

    Qualifications

    • Experience in other food service and cooking preferred.
    • Must be highly motivated and capable of working independently for extended periods of time.
    • Possess an outgoing, friendly personality, and the desire to provide quality service.
    • Ability to convey a conservative and professional image to guests.
    • Ability to be Serve Safe Certified.
    • Ability to speak effectively in one-on-one and small group situations.
    • Ability to read and interpret documents.
    • Ability to cook and prepare food to Clumpies and food safety standards.
    • Either has received or is pursuing a high school diploma or GED; or one to two years related experience; or equivalent combination of both.
    • Ability to provide a flexible schedule to work nights, weekends, holidays, and special events as needed.
    • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money.
    • Required to regularly use hands and fingers. Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds. Required to walk, stoop, kneel or crouch frequently. Must be able to stand regularly.
