Job Description:

ComboTech needed for Refinish andBodywork

TheRefinish Technician's primary responsibility and accountabilityincludes providing an exceptional and successful customerexperience through the meticulous refinishing to ensure a qualityrefinished repair of each customer's vehicle to restore it back topre-accident condition. The Refinish Technician works in alignmentwith all team members in achieving the repair facilities KPIs.

STARTINGPAY: $ $26.00/hour, FLAT RATE **BASED ONEXPERIENCE**

KeyJob Responsibilities

• Ensuresconsistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way)plan
• Providespositive energy when interacting with customers or teammembers
• Refinishesvehicle as per insurance guidelines and Assured Automotive'squalitystandards
• Inspectsbody and prep repairs for deficiencies that may impact the qualityof the refinish process; advise production supervisor asrequired
• Accountablefor ensuring all required line items as per the Repair Orders (RO)are completed to meet Assured's qualitystandards
• Performsall refinish procedures according to factory specifications andAssuredprocedures
• Ensuresall paint deficiencies are corrected through wet sand and polishing(i.e. runs, dirt nibs,etc.)
• Ensuresall formulations, preparations, top coating and curing meet OEMrecommended standards for proper application sequence, timing andmaterialsusage
• Maintainsefficient paint material cost as per AssuredKPIs
• Completessurface preparation, vehicle masking, priming and top coating (asrequired)
• Appliesall primers, sealers, basecoats, colour coats and clear coats withcorrect formulations as per paint manufacturerspecifications
• Accuratelymixes paint to ensure quality colourmatch
• Immediatelynotifies the Repair Planner of any additional damage that does notappear on theRO
• Assistsmanagement in the recommendation and implementation of newequipment
• Knowsstatus of assigned vehicles and helps problem-solve on getting andkeeping all vehicles on schedule for on-timedelivery
• Consistentlyutilizes all required safety equipment and follows properrefinishing procedures in compliance with Ontario Health &Safetyguidelines
• Adheresto all requirements for hazardous wastedisposal
• Followsvendor procedures to maintain all tools and equipment, includingmaintenance of paint booth and boothfilters
• Explainstechnical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanicalindividuals which may include other teammates and customers asrequired
• Continuouslylearns new technical information and techniques in formal trainingsession in order to stay updated with rapidly changing automotivetechnology
• Completesthe Quality Control(QC) Checklist before moving vehicle to nextdepartment
• Maintainsa clean and orderly production area throughout the workday,ensuring a final clean up at the end of theday
• Worksin accordance with daily production schedule (as directed byProductionSupervisor)
• Advisesproduction supervisor of collision repair problems that may havebeen overlooked that impact the productionprocess
• Supportsall team members whenrequired
• Participatesin monthly Health & Safety and staff meeting (ifrequired)
• Attendstraining, information sessions and workshops recommended by StoreManager
• Maintainsthe Assured KPI's (Sales/ GP/ NP/ CSI/ AR/CT&TT)

• Adheresto Assured's Policies and Procedures, according toestablished businesspractices
• Activelyparticipates in daily production meeting with the Management Team,asrequired

Educationand/or Experience Required

• HighSchool Diploma orequivalent
• Aminimum of 2 years previous experience in a collision repairfacility refinishrole
• ProvincialCollege of Trades Memberpreferred
• PPGCertificationpreferred
• I-CarRegistered (working towards Gold Classcertification)

RequiredSkills/Abilities

• Knowledgeof manufacturers' repair/refinishing processes & adherence toAssured'sprocesses
• Abilityto use selected vendor materials and general supplies efficientlyand costeffectively
• Demonstratedcommitment to continued learning by attending Assured/ Industryrelatedtraining
• Communicateeffectively, both verbally and inwriting
• Strongattention to detail and a high degree ofaccuracy
• Abilityto interpret work scope from vehicle estimates or workorders
• Comprehensiveknowledge of vehicle repairpractices
• Effectivelywork in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating multi-taskingability while working underpressure
• Frequentlyrequired to bend, crouch, reach, handle tools and liftapproximately 51lbs.
