The Maintenance Manager oversees all maintenance operations in a poultry facility ensuring equipment reliability minimal downtime and safe efficient cooked and ready-to-eat RTE production.Responsibilities
- Interview hire lead train and develop maintenance technicians leads and clerks.
- Assign daily work orders set priorities balance reactive and preventive tasks build strong culture of safety accountability technical excellence.
- Maintain full documentation of work orders PM tasks breakdowns repairs support allergen changeovers sanitation windows product transitions by ensuring equipment readiness maintenance coordination Preventive Predictive Maintenance Program Develop manage PM PD schedules aligned four production lines minimize impact throughput while supporting sanitation food safety requirements track KPIs uptime mean time between failure MTBF PM compliance Compliance Safety Ensure all maintenance activities comply with OSHA USDA EPA NFPA company regulations Support audits inspections corrective actions ensure proper Lockout Tagout LOTO machine guarding safe work practices Budgeting Inventory Control Manage budget labor parts supplies contractors oversee spare parts inventory purchasing vendor relationships cost control recommend plan capital projects long term equipment upgrades Cross Functional Collaboration Partner Production address equipment issues improve line efficiency Support Safety hazard corrections engineering controls Work closely QA Food Safety ensure maintenance activities support RTE compliance cook validations allergen controls sanitation effectiveness Coordinate Engineering new installations facility expansions Supervisory Responsibility Directly supervise up to 5 Maintenance Supervisors provide indirect leadership hourly personnel reporting directly indirectly through those Supervisors multiple shifts Qualifications Required experience further processing within poultry or food manufacturing environment including cooked or RTE operations Experience supporting simultaneous production lines high speed packaging required Knowledge mechanical electrical hydraulic pneumatic PLC based systems Experience ammonia refrigeration plus Ability read blueprints schematics equipment manuals Strong leadership communication problem solving skills Education Experience High school diploma GED required technical degree certification strongly preferred 5 years industrial experience required 3 years leadership specifically further processing cooked product or RTE manufacturing experience Skills Competencies Further Processing Expertise Technical Troubleshooting Reliability Maintenance Planning Execution Food Safety Regulatory Safety Compliance Leadership Team Development Communication Cross Functional Collaboration Physical Requirements Able stand walk bend climb lift up to pounds Work cold wet humid fast paced environments Flexible hours nights weekends needed General Safety Statement Employees expected safely following company safety policies procedures regulations including complying OSHA USDA internal safety standards Each team member responsible maintaining safe environment reporting hazards wearing personal protective gear participating training programs as directed Follow electrical procedures wear hearing protection follow ladder forklift guidelines Participate audits meetings training Gold Creek Foods Equal Opportunity Employer Consider qualified applicants employment regard race color religion sex sexual orientation gender identity expression national origin age disability genetic information veteran status characteristic protected applicable law Need assistance contact Human Resources
