Job summary
The Compensation Manager oversees the Compensation Analyst and leads the design, implementation, and administration of competitive and equitable compensation programs for Grand Canyon Education, Inc. as well as its client Grand Canyon University. This role partners with Finance stakeholders to support workforce planning talent attraction retention regulatory compliance within a higher education environment. The role provides oversight of job architecture position classification salary structures market pricing pay equity analyses for faculty staff administrative roles ensuring compliance with federal state local regulations including FLSA while promoting transparency consistency best practices delivering data-driven insights strategic guidance to support executive decision-making on compensation initiatives providing consultative guidance to executive leadership HR Business Partners Talent Acquisition on compensation strategy job levels job descriptions pay decisions analyzing resolving moderate highly complex issues using strong analytical quantitative problem-solving skills responding escalated inquiries assessing employee needs recommending timely compliant resolution options supervising training mentoring the Compensation team planning assigning work evaluating performance supporting professional development in accordance with organizational policies this role is responsible for designing implementing maintaining salary structures job architectures position title frameworks internal equity market competitiveness compliance overseeing administration special programs faculty DOE-regulated enrollment operations working closely HR Finance Payroll IT Legal Talent Acquisition Workday external vendors deliver effective solutions provide consultative guidance executive leadership HR Business Partners Talent Acquisition compensation strategy jobs levels description pay decisions analyze resolve complex issues escalating inquiries assess employeer needs recommend timely resolution options supervise train mentor compensate team plan assign work evaluate performance develop professionals according company policies.
