    Overview: The Fundraiser Coordinator has a crucial role in advancing the mission and objectives of The Difference Society by leading all fundraising activities. This role involves developing and executing comprehensive fundraising strategies to secure financial support from individuals, corporations, foundations, and other sources. The Fundraiser Coordinator will collaborate closely with the executive team and board of directors to nurture relationships, identify funding opportunities, and care for donors.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement annual and long-term fundraising plans in alignment with the organization's mission, vision, and strategic priorities.

    2. Donor Cultivation and Stewardship: Establish and maintain relationships with current and potential donors, including individuals, corporations, foundations, and governmental agencies. Foster donor loyalty through personalized communication, recognition programs, and stewardship initiatives.

    3. Major Gifts and Major Donor Program: Identify, nurture, and request major gifts from affluent individuals and major donors. Create and execute strategies to effectively engage and care for major donors.

    4. Corporate Partnerships: Identify and foster corporate partnerships and sponsorships. Collaborate with companies to build mutually beneficial relationships and secure financial support, in-kind donations, and sponsorships for events and projects.

    5. Event Fundraising: Organize, coordinate, and execute fundraising events, such as galas, dinners, auctions, and community events. Work with team members, volunteers, and vendors to ensure successful event management and optimal fundraising outcomes.

    6. Direct Mail and Online Fundraising: Supervise direct mail campaigns, online fundraising initiatives, and crowdfunding projects. Develop compelling fundraising appeals and digital content to engage donors and request donations.

    7. Database Management: Manage donor databases and maintain accurate and updated donor records. Analyze donor data to identify patterns, monitor fundraising progress, and guide strategic decision-making.

    8. Team Leadership and Management: Lead, guide, and oversee the fundraising team, including development staff, volunteers, and interns. Offer direction, assistance, and growth opportunities to team members to enhance their fundraising abilities and impact.

    9. Budgeting and Financial Reporting: Develop and oversee the fundraising budget, including revenue forecasts, expense monitoring, and financial reporting. Track fundraising performance against objectives and provide regular updates to the executive team and board of directors.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, business administration, marketing, communications, or related field. Master's degree is desirable.
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in fundraising, development, or a related field, with a demonstrated history of success in obtaining major gifts, grants, and corporate sponsorships.
    • Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills, with the capacity to engage and motivate donors, volunteers, and team members.
    • Excellent writing abilities, with expertise in grant writing, donor communications, and fundraising appeals.
    • Strategic mindset with the capability to create and execute comprehensive fundraising plans and strategies.
    • Proficiency in donor database management, fundraising software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
