They are looking to add a Cost Accountant to join their team in Nappanee, Indiana.     Position Overview:

    Working within the Cost Accounting Team to establish & maintain accurate standard costing across the International business segment & supporting manufacturing leadership with daily, weekly, & monthly reporting, forecasting, and manufacturing specific analysis across the various countries & product lines within the company, as well as, general accounting duties such as reconciliations, monthly journal entries, etc.

    Key Accountabilities:

    • Daily, Weekly, & monthly measurement of financial results, & Matrices, for manufacturing & Inventory.
    • Produce daily, weekly, monthly, or quarterly reports, which include key metrics related to manufacturing such as productivity, efficiency, utilization.
    • Account reconciliations, investigation into variances, and open item closures, as assigned.
    • Cost Accounting activities including annual cost evaluation & simulation, research into variances, and maintaining the integrity of the standard costing model for the companys international segment.
    • Collaborate with manufacturing operations to improve performance on standard financial manufacturing matrices.
    • Assist with the preparation of monthly operating reviews with manufacturing leadership & finance.
    • Assist with the preparation of the annual operating plan (AOP), budgets, and forecast with manufacturing.
    • Collaborate with business on various regular MFG finance analysis such as make vs. buy scenarios.
    • Production order variance reviews & root cause analysis.
    • Coordinate with operations to make sure that policies and procedures regarding inventory & manufacturing processes are followed.
    • General accounting duties as assigned (G/L, A/R, A/P, Accruals)
    • Other duties as assigned by manager.

    Required Education & Preferred Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
    • Experience in JD Edwards ERP system (preferred)
    • OneStream experience an asset.
    • Minimum 2 years of Cost Accounting in a manufacturing environment.
    • Strong working knowledge of Excel and power point
    • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
