Title: Android Developer

Location: Minneapolis, MN MUST be onsite

Duration: 1 year+

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, test, release, and maintain Android applications
• Transform the way the company interacts with and services it's employees and customer base
• Ability to contribute to both design and development on Android development pipeline for new and existing products
• Prototype and develop new v1 products that leverage consumer and enterprise business
• Improve knowledge and understanding of core concepts of SE
• Code small and large features
• Mentor others
• Learn and apply industry trends
• Create and improve internal libraries and tools
• Participate and lead in production support
• Teach best practices internally
• Demonstrate creativity and take initiate in solving complex problem with high quality
• Perform technical code reviews to ensure quality
• Keep up to date on industry technology trends and modern software delivery techniques
• Demonstrate knowledge of industry trends and look for ways these trends could add value to your products or engineering practices
• Active participant in planning activities
• Contribute to strategic planning
• Anticipate technical issues at the product level and makes architectural and design decisions to avoid them
• Communicate effectively articulating technical decisions to product and technical partners
• Develop and maintain long term business domain knowledge
• Provide direction to engineering team consisting of engineering and QA resources leveraging diverse development methodologies (agile)
• Enforce processes around development methodologies including continuous integration, static code analysis, test coverage, test automation etc.
• Maintain solution integrity through the course of the project including controlling scope, manage solutions for change requests and clarifying solution capabilities during all delivery phases
• Partner with product, UX, and analytics to drive requirements that take into account all stakeholder's needs

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Hands on experience building react native Mobile app and Web app
• 7-10 years of development experience
• Deep understanding of mobile, client-server development
• Knowledge of Material Design
• Experience with Android test automation and CI frameworks
• Experience developing consumer apps
• Design and architecture knowledge
• Experience with Agile software development
• Great understanding/knowledge of Java and object oriented design

Preferred Qualifications:

• Product Modernization experience
• Domain Knowledge and understanding of Supply chain/Retail/warehouse operations

• Technically sound REACT Native, REACT JS, Java, Spring/Spring boot Framework, Angular JS
• Good mentor, ability to mentor rest of the engineers on the team
