An international general contractor is currently looking for a Project Engineer to join their facility in the Indianapolis, IN area. They serve for the automotive industry (full construction, equipment installation and transportation, factory maintenance, etc.). They are looking for an entry-level candidate with Engineering degree who is interested in the industrial construction management.

This is a full time and direct hire position. Company cannot provide support for visa sponsorship or relocation expenses.

Project Engineer Responsibilities:

• Manage the industrial construction projects
• Oversee and coordinate the construction field activities on the job sites
• Work with and direct all the field workers (subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors, etc.)
• Maintain the project schedules and solve issues and problems as needed
• Make sure that all the safety policy and contract conditions are adhered through trainings and meetings
• Order materials and coordinate inspections as needed
• Assist the Project Manager with all the necessary duty
• Prepare and keep documents and logs
• Travel to the construction sites (mainly in the Midwest)
• Other duties as assigned

Project Engineer Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Construction Engineering
• Able to travel as needed
• Familiarity with standard concepts and practices in the construction field
• Good communication skill (verbally and written)
• Good organizational skill
• Technical knowledge related to the construction field activities
• This position is in a manufacturing work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, lift in excess of 50 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
