Job Description

While working safely, the Prep Utility/Beam Servicer services all preparation equipment (i.e., warpers, slashers, warper-sizer, etc.) as the primary material handler for raw materials, warp beams, loom beams, etc. Operates a variety of power industrial equipment including but not limited to a low lift, hoist crane, and cart caddy. Assists creelers, as needed, during the creeling process. Will maintain correct sets of full section beams for slashing and load in slasher creel. Maintains a supply of empty loom beams and performs proper settings for loom beam width. Loads warps for entering department following FIFO system.

Requirements

HS Diploma, GED, or equivalent

1. Basic math abilities for calculating yarn requirements
2. Reading measuring tape
3. General working knowledge of computer systems (AS400)
