- Greets customers and assists in locating prescriptions for sale.
- Receives monies or processes credit cards or other payments in the pharmacy. Is accurate in totalling purchases, collecting the correct amount and making accurate change.
- Facilitates end of day reports and ensures that appropriate monies are in the tills for the start of the next day's business. Is accurate in reporting receipts.
- May be assigned to routine tasks not involving the handling of medications.
- May answer the telephone and provide the public with general information and directions.
- Provides excellent customer service to customers.
- Routinely telephones customers to remind them to pick up.
- Assists in daily inventory activities as assigned.
- Work experience or training, which includes the exchange of money for purchases and making change. Proven prior successful customer service experience.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, Systematic problem solving skills, ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation
- Some College.
- Experience in a community pharmacy.
