    Responsibilities



    Gaining an understanding of the manufacturing processes included in the manufacture of pressure-sensitive constructions.
    * Creating prototypes of pressure-sensitive constructions in the lab.
    * Performing product testing of manufactured or lab produced constructions to quantify their performance characteristics.
    * Using these performance characteristics to:
    o Help fit product constructions to customer needs,
    o Identify the root cause of product, process or customer challenges,
    o Develop new products to resolve challenges or meet new customer needs.
    * Modifying manufacturing processes, when appropriate, to correct these products or process challenges or build these new products.



    Qualifications



    Must be pursuing a degree in Engineering. Disciplines include but not limited to: Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Process Control, Industrial, Environmental, or Pulp and Paper Science Engineering.
    * Minimum of 2 years of school completed.
    * Must be proficient with the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

    Must be available for a 10-week, 40 hour per week, summer term.

    The Coated Products Operations consists of three manufacturing plants, 4 Slitting and Distribution Centers, and a majority interest partnership in Mexico. The CPO manufactures pressure sensitive label stock, utilizing a variety of face stock, adhesive and release liner combinations. Product capabilities include an expanded film line, as well as traditional paper, foil and thermal offerings.
