    The Judge Group is seeking a travel Cardiovascular Technologist for a travel job in Asheville, North Carolina.

    Job Description & Requirements

    Certified Surgical Technologist – CVOR – Days

    Specialty: CST – Cardiovascular OR Start Date: ASAP   Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:00 AM – 4:30 PM Experience Required: 2+ years CVOR + at least 2 completed travel assignments (mandatory)

    Position Overview

    • High‑acuity CVOR CST assignment
    • Monday–Friday schedule
    • Required to stay late 1–2 times per week
    • Floating required within scope of practice
    • Critical care background strongly preferred for Pre‑Op environment

    Unit Details

    • Unit: CV Pre‑Op (supports CVOR)
    • Beds: 4
    • Ratios: 1:1
    • Staffing:
      • RNs
      • CNC
      • Secretary
      • Manager
      • Shared support with CVOR
    • EMR: Cerner
    • Equipment:
      • GE Carescape monitoring
      • Fuji ultrasound

    Required Experience & Skills

    Mandatory Requirements — No Exceptions

    • Active CST certification
    • Extensive CVOR experience
    • Minimum of 2 completed travel assignments
    • Strong critical thinking skills
    • Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, high‑acuity surgical environment

    Additional Required Skills

    • BCMA proficiency
    • Excellent documentation
    • Strong communication with multidisciplinary teams

    Typical Procedures & Responsibilities

    • Large‑bore IV starts
    • Full skin assessment
    • Chin‑to‑toe hair removal
    • Medication administration
    • Assisting with:
      • Arterial line placement
      • Central line placement
      • Epidural placement
    • Transporting patients to OR
    • Assisting with induction/intubation
    • Positioning and skin prep

    Scheduling

    • Unit schedule: 05:00–13:30
    • Traveler schedule: 06:00–16:30
    • Late stay: Required 1–2 times weekly
    • Weekends/Holidays: As assigned per rotation

    Dress Code

    • Scrubs provided
    • Professional appearance required
