    Position Summary:

    The Senior Tax Accountant is responsible for supporting all aspects of the corporate tax operations. Responsibilities include involvement in tax compliance, research and planning, and the accounting for income taxes.

    Responsibilities:

    • Participate in federal and state corporate tax compliance including, but not limited to, income tax, sales/use tax, and property tax.
    • Maintain tax compliance calendar to ensure all tax deadlines are met.
    • Prepare and file multistate sales/use tax returns.
    • Perform and document tax research in support of tax planning initiatives.
    • Identify, pursue, and maintain tax incentives.
    • Provide tax audit support.
    • Assist in the preparation of ASC 740 calculations related to financial accounting for income taxes.
    • Prepare quarterly taxable income computations to ensure that shareholder tax distributions are timely and accurate.
    • Communicate and coordinate with other departments within the company to provide tax support for ongoing business initiatives.
    • Participate in the compliance requirements related to recycled content and bottle taxes.

    Qualifications:

    • At least three years of tax experience with a multistate business or with a regional or national public accounting firm
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Strong tax research and written communication skills
    • Strong oral communication skills
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Ability to work individually as well as within a team and cross-functionally
    • Strong attention to detail

    Education:

    • Bachelor of Business Administration, Accounting major
    • Master of Accounting with tax focus
    • CPA designation
