Day Shift + On call TBD based on number of providers sharing the call
Ability to work weekends occasionally
Participates in daily rounds on assigned patients and documents the pertinent symptoms, findings, diagnoses and care plans
Utilizes electronic medical record for order entry and documentation
Responds to coding and documentation queries and participates as requested in quality and safety initiatives
Proficiency with the electronic health records for documentation, assessment, and care management, performing these activities concurrently with provision of care throughout the shift
Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, family members and the healthcare team
Excellent customer service orientation skills necessary in order to deal effectively with various levels of Hospital personnel, outside customers and community groups
Understands of anatomy, diagnosis, treatment options, procedures, methods and equipment
Analytical ability to monitor data, develop treatment plans and prescribe medication
Flexible, able to prioritize and address multiple responsibilities concurrently
Needs adequate hearing and visual acuity, including adequate color vision
Needs ability to communicate effectively through reading, writing, and speaking in person or on telephone
May require periodic use of personal computer
