    Description

    Cleveland Clinic MRI Technologist Position

    In this role, you will conduct MRI exams on patients of all ages.

    • Prepare and validate patient screening safety forms.
    • Educate patients on MRI procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety pre and post the exam.
    • Maintain equipment and promptly report any malfunctions.

    • Has excellent communication and multitasking abilities, especially in stressful situations.
    • Is a Registered Technologist certified by the ARRT with Basic Life Support certification.

    • Possesses knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and related pathologic processes.

    Responsibilities:

    • Prepare and check patients before MRI procedures.
    • Perform the required MRI procedures and daily QA.
    • Educate patients on MRI processes and ensure their comfort and safety.
    • Assist with patient scheduling.
    • Learn new technical skills and information.
    • Maintain equipment and report malfunctions promptly.
    • Process billing and mentor new hires and students.
    • Attend professional development sessions.

    Education Requirements:

    Must have technical certification in Radiologic Technology, Sonography, Radiation Therapy, or Nuclear Medicine Technology.

    Certifications:

    Must be a Registered Technologist certified by ARRT or CNMT.

    Complexity of Work:

    Knowledge of anatomy and strong interpersonal skills are essential.

    Work Experience:

    Prior experience as a Radiologic Technologist preferred.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Must stand and walk for extended periods.
    • Ability to lift patients and equipment, up to 75 pounds.
    • Frequent pushing and pulling of equipment required.

    Protective Equipment:

    Follow standard precautions for personal protective equipment.
