    Title: Registered Nurse

    Status: Full-Time



    Shift: Days 12hrs.



    Pay Range: $73.92



    Bonus: $10,000



    This role requires active participation in fulfilling the mission of Saddleback Medical Center. The ideal candidate will uphold core values like Integrity, Accountability, Best Practices, Compassion, and Synergy, aligning with the organization's strategic plan and engaging in performance improvement initiatives. The Registered Nurse, Clinical II, will oversee nursing care for the Operating Room, ensuring compliance with departmental policies and procedures.

    Key responsibilities include coordinating patient care, assessing patients, planning interventions, implementing treatment plans, and evaluating care outcomes. Effective communication and documentation are essential, alongside considering factors like patient age, cultural diversity, and psychosocial needs in care planning. Promoting quality nursing care through performance improvement processes is a crucial aspect of this role.

    Collaboration with other healthcare professionals is vital to ensure safe and effective patient care delivery and achieve positive patient outcomes.


    Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job:

    • Consistently follows infection control policies.
    • Utilizes the nursing process and AORN standards for patient care management.
    • Demonstrates leadership in coordinating patient care across the healthcare continuum.
    • Delegates tasks to personnel as needed.
    • Prioritizes essential functions and demonstrates critical thinking skills.
    • Maintains patient confidentiality and privacy rights.
    • Serves as a mentor for new staff members and upholds good customer service.
    • Demonstrates knowledge of job-specific competencies.
    • Adheres to company policies and procedures.
    • Shows ability to multitask and interact positively with others.

    Qualifications/Work Experience:

    • Minimum of one year of acute care experience in the Operating Room.
    • Proficiency in computer skills, including word processing.
    • Active Registered Nursing License in California.
    • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
    • Current BLS certification required.
    • ACLS certification preferred.
    • CNOR Certification is a plus.
