    DSI Tech is seeking a Network Technician for our expanding company. This is a Temporary contract position for 3-5 months most likely during the summer months. The position is based at our office in Garland, TX.

    Position Responsibilities
    Will perform basic CISCO network administration duties (such as assist in the configuration of CISCO routers and switches, patch cabling, modifying existing CISCO switches and performing switch upgrades). Will assist in client site infrastructure surveys to assess clients' current IT infrastructure. Will work from our client located in Garland, TX to implement Cisco IT Solutions. Provide break/fix technical support services for networked and stand-alone computing equipment
    Must be physically able to lift, bend, kneel, stand, sit on a daily basis. Lifting is up to 50lbs on a daily basis. Some IT components can be heavier than 50 pounds. Also, use of hand drill will be a daily task. Working in dusty conditions will be common in this temporary role.

    Qualifications / Skills / Knowledge
    • General understanding of networking concepts and networking equipment including hubs, routers and cabling infrastructure
    • General knowledge of desktop and laptop computers, printers and other computing equipment
    • CCENT or CCNA preferred
    • High School diploma or GED required
    • Hands-on experience with the installation, repair and troubleshooting of personal computers.
    • Ability to be flexible, versatile and adaptable in day-to-day activities
