Job summary
The Traffic Control Technician is responsible for setting up and taking down lane closures ensuring the safety of assigned traffic control projects. This role involves performing lane closures on state highways and other roadways redirecting traffic for workers or survey crews and working independently or as part of a traffic control crew.The technician also assembles delivers and picks up safety products from job sites following contractor directions.
This position requires driving company trucks to transport materials equipment to job sites operating Management of Traffic MOT vehicles to protect workers work zones placing temporary construction signs in work areas positioning arrow boards variable message boards in work areas monitoring the work zone throughout the shift collecting loading traffic control items at the beginning end of shifts installing removing resetting delineators signs posts supports performing shop work including general maintenance repair of equipment following all safety rules regulations ensuring a safe environment adhering Company Policies Procedures performing other related duties as assigned.
