    Job Summary:

    Responsible for assisting research scientists, students, and faculty in the UTA Research Institute (UTARI) with the design, fabrication, modeling, and testing of technologies for research and development projects.

    Majority of activities will involve lab work. Perform job duties under direct supervision.
    Perform CAD Modeling and 3D printing.
    Perform molding, such as injection and dip molding.
    Perform mechanical assembly and prototyping.
    Create engineering documentation such as standard operating procedures (SOP) and design history.
    Conduct testing and data collection, validation, and quality control.
    Maintain awareness of current technological advancements related to your field.
    Bachelors of Sciense in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline with two (2) years relevant experience.

    Masters of Science in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline with one (1) year relevant experience.

    Experience with 3D printing (SLA and FDM), mechanical design, mold tool design, liquid polymer molding (injection, compression, and dip molding).

    Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
    High proficiency in CAD software including SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
    Able to multi-task, collaboratively work in interdisciplinary teams, work on projects independently.
    Uniforms and/or personal protection equipment (furnished).
