- Perform critical functions within Threat Management discipline by staffing 24x7x365 coverage at the City's Security Operations Center (SOC) for FTE shift schedules.
- Interface with OTI Cyber Command teams, City agencies, vendors, and information-sharing partners.
- Monitor City networks and security alerts for threats, apply mitigation techniques, and correlate threat intelligence across logs.
- Produce routine SOC metrics & reporting.
- Maintain situation reports (SITREPS) and conduct weekly quality control checks.
- Collaborate with SOC Director on incident preparation and the development of new playbooks and runbooks.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Threat Management/SOC/Incident Response.
- Leadership skills to mentor junior analysts, coordinate team activities, and manage SOC operations effectively.
- Prior experience in SOC environment with knowledge of SOC operations, procedures, and tools.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, practices, and procedures.
- Strong understanding of network and host technologies.
- Experience in detecting host and network-based intrusions using IDS methods and technologies.
- Proficiency in SIEM technologies, malware analysis, and applying cybersecurity and privacy principles.
- Ability to investigate and solve complex problems and effectively communicate security incidents and risks.
- Threat Hunting and Incident Response experience.
