    YOU

    As the Tool Assembly Team Lead, you will be responsible for supporting team members and the management team to build high quality products in a timely manner, safely and efficiently through effective leadership and communication. You are also responsible for identifying improvement opportunities within the Tool and Assembly department and implementing them in a timely manner. This position reports directly to the Department Supervisor/Manager. This position works 1st Shift: Monday - Thursday 6:00am - 4:30pm.

    WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING(% of Time)

    Assembling Tools for collated and non-collated fasteners per work instructions. (50%)

    Packing tools and tool accessories per work instructions. (45%)

    Check all parts proper function and quality appearance. (5%)

    DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

    If you can do everything listed above, you've got what it takes. Perhaps some of the following would be helpful too:

    • High School Diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
    • Simpson Strong-Tie Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) Certification (will certify at hire) required.
    • High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
    • Hands on manufacturing experience or training (5 years).
    • Leading or managing others (1 year).
    • Demonstrates ability and understanding in mathematics such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, fractions, and decimal equivalents. (Required).
    • Demonstrates proficiency in the use of measuring tools, such as tape measure, protractor, calipers, and micrometer (Preferred).
    • Ability to read and understand shop drawings and prints (Preferred).
    • The ability to monitor/assess your own performance and others' to make improvements or take corrective action.
    • The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.
    • The ability to understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
    • The ability to effectively use Word, Excel, and Outlook to carry out work (Basic level).
    • The ability to conduct tests and inspections of processes to evaluate quality or performance.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, see, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. This role operates large equipment for approximately 8-12 hours, regularly twisting, and bending in a repetitive motion. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and heavier weights with proper equipment.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

    The job may risk exposure to heat and/or cold, loud noise levels, vibration, and moving mechanical parts.

    TRAVEL REQUIRED

    This job does not require travel.

    This full-time, non-exempt position is located in Gallatin, TN

    PAY

    $ $35.24 Hour
