    Open Minds Preschool is seeking a passionate and experienced Music Teacher to join our team. As a Preschool Music Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in nurturing a love for music and fostering creativity in young children aged 3 to 5 years old. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual who is dedicated to creating engaging and interactive musical experiences for preschoolers.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Develop and implement age-appropriate music curriculum tailored to the developmental needs of preschool children.
    2. Conduct fun and interactive music classes that incorporate singing, movement, rhythm, and basic musical concepts.
    3. Introduce children to a variety of musical instruments and encourage hands-on exploration.
    4. Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where children feel comfortable expressing themselves through music.
    5. Collaborate with other teachers to integrate music into interdisciplinary activities and thematic units.
    6. Assess children's progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly to meet individual learning needs.
    7. Communicate regularly with parents about their child's musical development and provide resources for extending learning at home.
    8. Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events as required.

    Qualifications:

    1. Bachelor's degree in Music Education, Early Childhood Education, or related field preferred.
    2. Previous experience working with preschool-aged children in a teaching or childcare setting.
    3. Proficiency in playing a musical instrument (e.g., piano, guitar, ukulele) and knowledge of basic music theory.
    4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage and motivate young learners.
    5. Creativity, patience, and a genuine passion for working with young children.
    6. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to a positive school culture.
    7. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
