Senior Tax Associate
Foard and Company , formerly known as

CPAfirm with over 50 years of experience providing tax and audit services to Charlotte and the surrounding communities.
Senior Tax Associate
to join our team.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and review complex individual, corporate, partnership, and international tax returns to ensure accuracy and compliance with governmental laws.
Analyze financial documents and reports to identify tax-saving opportunities and provide strategic tax planning advice to clients.
Lead and manage tax audit processes, including negotiating with tax authorities and developing strategies to minimize financial impact.
Mentor and supervise junior tax associates, providing guidance on tax research, return preparation, and client service best practices.
Coordinate with other departments, such as audit and advisory, to ensure integrated and comprehensive client service delivery.
Develop and present tax training sessions to internal staff to enhance their tax knowledge and skills.
Participate in business development activities, including networking events and proposal writing, to attract new clients.
Research and analyze new tax legislation and regulations to determine the impact on clients and to develop innovative tax solutions.
Requirements:
Current
CPAlicense.
2-5+ years of tax experience with a public accounting firm.
Experience in the preparation of individual and business tax returns.
Familiarity with trust tax returns (preferred).
Knowledge of not-for-profit tax returns (Form 990) is advantageous.
Demonstrated history of tax planning strategies is a plus.
