Job Title: Phlebotomist / Medical Assistant

Location: Albert Lea, MN 56007
Duration: 8+ Weeks (Possibility of Extension)
Schedule:

• Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

• Tuesday, Thursday: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
  Pay Rate: $23/hour (W2)

Required Certifications:

• CMA (Certified Medical Assistant)

• BLS or CPR Certification

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support both front and back-office clinical operations in an occupational health setting. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations while delivering high-quality patient care. Success in this role requires strong teamwork, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and room patients

• Schedule appointments and answer phones

• Take and document vital signs

• Perform phlebotomy/venipuncture

• Administer vaccines

• Perform EKGs and POC testing

• Provide front and back-office clinical support

• Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems

• Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience (excluding externship)

• Medical Assistant Certification strongly preferred

• Occupational Health experience strongly preferred

• Experience with phlebotomy and EMR required

• Strong attention to detail and computer proficiency

• Effective communication skills with patients and staff
