Insight Global is seeking a senior database engineer to provide hands-on support for a critical application for a large financial services client.

The position will sit hybrid 3x/week in Atlanta, GA or Addison TX. The ideal candidate should have 8+ years experience with database design and best practicesOracle PL/SQL experience is required.

Candidates should also be familiar with how to write Java programming and using Hibernate to connect a relational database to Java applications.

This person will be a hands-on individual contributor to be able to resolve complex performance issues, review scripts/queries and test plans, and drive code into production.

Required Skills & Experience


MUST HAVE
8+ years of database design and development (Oracle, PL/SQL required)

Hands-on expertise with Hibernate to connect database to web services

Hands-on experience with Java programmingunderstands how to build/maintain web services using Spring/Spring Boot (REST APIs)

Proven ability to optimize SQL queries/scripts and set best practices for database management for large enterprise-level applications


PLUS
Financial services experience strongly preferred

Experience with Oracle GoldenGate
