    As the director of development for SCAD theaters and festivals, you will improve the university's fundraising through sponsorship and grant pursuits, patron relations and community engagement, festival submissions, and industry connections. In this role you will oversee the SCAD Savannah Film Festival, which includes reviewing over 3000 submitted films, recruiting films for submission, overseeing the competition jurors and jurying process, managing the award ceremony, assisting with increasing sponsorship both in-kind and cash for the festival, and liaising with sponsors to ensure they receive regular festival updates and special seating based on sponsorship level.

    Responsibilities for overseeing the SCAD Box Office include daily operations management, overseeing Tessitura software training for students and employees, reviewing all web copy before the event is activated on the website, assisting to create a new pass process for all festivals, assisting with daily client relations, and submitting final weekly settlement reports for all clients. For SCAD TVfest you will assist with building all shows in the ticketing system, reviewing print and web copy for accuracy, managing sales areas, assisting with coordinating itineraries, and managing the venue.

    In this position you will assist with the management of commencement ceremony production in Savannah and securing commencement speakers. Additionally, you will manage events at the Lucas Theatre for The Arts and Trustees Theater and coordinate with the artistic manager to host Arthouse Cinema and SCAD Cinema Circle screenings.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • 10+ years of experience in arts education or development
    • College degree
    Travel Required:
    • 10% to 20%
    Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other work days and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
