Description

AMETEK MRO is seeking an experienced Tig welder to fabricate and assemble parts through the use of welders, cutters, shapers, and measuring tools.

The preferred candidate will have experience welding aluminum.

Set up welding jobs based on the work specifications at hand
Read and interpret blueprints and/or drawings to determine the specific welding requirements
Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards
Must be able to perform their own fit-ups on units they are building
Must be comfortable using air powered tools such as die grinders, cut-off tools, belt sanders, and air drills
Must be able to read calipers and other measuring equipment
Uses equipment and materials properly
Ability to work any shift (1st or 2nd)

Minimum 2 years of experience in TIG Welding.
Welding of Aerospace parts preferred
Experience welding Stainless, Aluminum and Inconel
Experience welding to AWS D17.Strong troubleshooting knowledge down to component level using measuring gauges and test equipment.
Strong attention to detail and focus on quality and accuracy.
