    Fun Bartender/Server Job working poolside at The Wilde Resort and Spa. Bar hours 11am - Sunset working 6 hour shifts on average. Great opportunity to learn, earn and delight guests.

    PURPOSE:


    A Food & Beverage Pool Bartender/Server is responsible for assisting in ensuring first quality food and beverage service, while maintaining adherence to budgeted payroll and overhead costs.

    He/she is also responsible for continually working toward improving Food & Beverage sales revenues beyond budget.

    To be successful in this job, you will need experience and knowledge with spirits, wine, beer, non alcoholic beverages, bar operations.



    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


    • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with property standards, as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
    • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working.
    • Comply at all times with property standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
    • Weigh, measure, mix and prep ingredients according to recipes.
    • Ensure that kitchen area/equipment and utensils are cleaned & properly maintained.
    • Check food and beverage ingredients for freshness/quality control.
    • Prepare drinks according to approved menu recipes, while ensuring the consistency of product and presentation.
    • Maintain a friendly and warm demeanor at all times.
    • Be familiar with the organization of the property and know the function of each department.
    • Maintain close communication links with all guides, seeking input regarding food and beverage issues and acting as a motivating influence.
    • Maintain service standards throughout the department.
    • Immediately follow up on accidents, problems or guest complaints in at the pool bar.
    • Be familiar with and able to react to emergency situations by knowing locations of fire and extinguishers and exits.
    • Maintain proper consistent disciplinary actions for all pool guides.
    • Be familiar with Aloha P.O.S. system and Opera Cloud PMS used in the resort.
    • Be familiar with Time & Attendance System (paycom) to manage and approve time cards; and submit to accounting in compliance with Wage & Hour guidelines. Ensure employees are at all times, attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to guests, employees and other managers.
    • Assist in preparation of staff schedules according to business forecast, maintaining adherence to wage control, productivity standards and Guest Comment Cards.
    • Assist in monthly food and beverage inventories and reconciliations

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


    • Initiate and promote sales efforts for all service personnel.
    • Perform general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards.
    • Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.

    OTHER PERSONNEL ISSUES:

    • Abide by payroll policies, procedures (punch in/punch out), Meals and Rest Periods policy and OLS/ Springboard Rules of Conduct.
    • Demonstrate a working knowledge of all hotel safety and security procedures as required maintaining a secure and safe environment for associates as well as guests.
    • Report any unusual occurrences and/or request to the Food & Beverage Manager.
    • Read and abide by all the regulations and rules of conduct stated in the associate handbook.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    Education & Experience:
    Prior food and beverage experience as server or bartender desired. Entry level knowledge of beverage products. d preferred. High School diploma or equivalent required.


    Skills & Abilities:

    Qualifications


    EXPERIENCE:

    • Prior Experience: 1+ Previous bartending experience in hospitality or fast paced environment preferred.
    • IT Expertise:
    • Advanced knowledge of computer software (including Microsoft Office, outlook) and or micros station.
    • Education:
    • High School diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
    • Subject Expertise:
    • Demonstrate a working knowledge of all property safety and security procedures as required maintaining a secure and safe environment for employees as well as guests.
    • Report any unusual occurrences and/or request to Supervisor.
    • Read and abide by all the regulations and rules of conduct stated in the Associate Handbook.
    • Must be service oriented with excellent customer service and sales skills
    • Must be able to effectively communicate to guests, management, and coworkers and read, write and understand the English language
    • Must be energetic and outgoing
    • Must possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
    • Must be able to follow directions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy
    • Must be a team player with the ability to work under minimal supervision
    • Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
    • Must be able to understand and work with basic financial information and solve basic arithmetic problems
    • Must be able to type 45 wpm and have the ability to input data and access information on the computer
    • Must have proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Opera; preferred.
    • Must be able to exercise confidentiality and discretion.

    OTHER EXPECTATIONS:

    • Must be 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages
    • Abide by payroll policies, procedures and rules of conduct as stated in the Springboard Hospitality Associate Handbook.
    • Demonstrate a working knowledge of all company safety and security procedures.
    • Travel required: As needed for hotel familiarization, content creation shoots and to meet with colleagues.
    • Hours Required: Must primarily work during Springboard Hospitality business hours, Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm (PST), while understanding that the hotel business functions 24/7 and some weekend or holiday work may occasionally be required.
