    Our client in Springfield, PA is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Purchasing Agent.
    This position offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain additional experience in the field of purchasing and international trade in a fast-paced office environment.
    Purchasing Agent Job Details:
    • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 730am-4pm
    • Pay Rate: $24-$26.44/HR
    • Room for growth

    Purchasing Agent Job Description:
    • Identify and source products domestically in the most cost-effective way possible for servicing heavy industry worldwide
    • Provide quotes to end-users as quickly and competitively as possible, preferably within 24 hours, but always be mindful of bid close dates
    • Buy efficiently from the correct source and maintain positive relationships with suppliers
    • Place Purchase Orders with local suppliers and monitor the status of each order
    • Monitor freight by air or sea and keep clients updated with status reports
    • Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and agreements with suppliers

    Purchasing Agent Job Requirements:
    • University Degree preferred (or) equal job experience
    • 1-2 years of purchasing experience
    • Purchasing background with an understanding of quoting, purchase order processing, & client interactions
    • High attention to detail and procedures
    • Product experience or technical knowledge of the industrial market would be useful
