    This position is in-person.


    Toyon has openings for technical researchers to develop/implement, test, and analyze algorithms that solve real-world problems in the areas of estimation and control.

    Minimum background includes familiarity with probability and random processes, and linear algebra. Preferred candidates have familiarity with estimation methods (least-squares, Kalman filters) and linear system theory. Algorithms may be prototyped in MATLAB or Python with potential implementation in C++. Must be able to work independently but willing to engage collaboratively in technical discussions with other technical staff members.

    Requirements


    Candidates for the Signal Processing Engineer position should have a strong background in engineering, physics, and/or mathematics combined with competent programing skills.

    M.S./Ph.
    D. degree in an Engineering, Physics, or Math program
    Ability to prototype algorithms in MATLAB or Python (C++ a bonus)
    Strong problem-solving/analytical skills
    Ability to communicate ideas/analyses in discussions, documents, and briefings

    Experience to Highlight on an Application:

    Estimation Theory:
    Tracking, Information Fusion, State estimation techniques (e.g. Kalman Filters, particle filters)

    The annual pay range for the Signal Processing Engineer position is $100,000 to $170,000.


    The posted pay range values provide the candidate with guidance on annual base compensation for the position, at a full time level of effort, exclusive of overtime, bonus, and benefits-related compensation, over a range of qualifications that may fit hiring objectives.
