Senior Geologist - California, United States - Insight Global

Title: Senior Geologist
Location: Hybrid - Sacramento, CA
Travel: 20-40%
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in geology, geosciences, or equivalent from an accredited college or university
8-10 years of experience in environmental investigation and remediation activities
Willing and able to travel and train junior geologists
Experience designing, developing, and sampling groundwater monitoring wells
Experience developing UFP-QAPP and other Federal project documents
-Licensed Professional Geologist in California
Pusses:
-Microsoft Project or Primavera P6
-HAZWOPER 40-hr Training (current)
-GIS, CAD, or OpenGround software
-Lysimeter installation and porewater sampling
-Vapor intrusion assessment and mitigation
Our client is seeking an experienced geologist to support a wide range of environmental projects from its Folsom office. The qualified candidate should be safety conscious, motivated, and hardworking with an understanding of geological field techniques and the many aspects of working on sites involving contaminated soil, soil vapor, groundwater, sediment, and surface water. Primary duties will include direction of junior geologists, field work for the collection of samples; providing data analysis, research, and technical consultation; preparing planning documents; and preparing various field data summaries and interpretative reports. The position will provide the successful candidate opportunities to travel and work outdoors in exciting project locations including on Federal lands and facilities in California, Alaska, and at other locations nationwide.
