We're hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join our Portfolio Analytics team This role would be primarily backend focused and working heavily with Java.

This would be a part of a collaborative team focusing on query optimization, building new infrastructure, data ingestion, and work flow optimization.

We're looking for a strong developer who has experience working in Java, MySQL, AWS- Experience with CDK / Terraform is a plus This position is onsite out of our Lehi, UT office-Join our team

ResponsibilitiesDemonstrate the ability to independently problem solve and research solutionsIndependently complete complex coding tasks and assist others on the teamProvide careful code reviews and enforce code standards and development processes among team membersContribute to the development of cross-team, framework-level projectsUnderstand the business domain, data model, and design of the code base for the nCino Portfolio AnalyticsMaintain a deep knowledge of the technologies (languages, frameworks, etc.) used by nCinoPortfolio AnalyticsMaintain a deep knowledge of the craft of coding and designGuide design sessions, ensuring the quality of the selected approach and driving understanding and ownership across teammatesKeep abreast of developments in the field and introduce new approaches and technologiesFacilitate communication and collaboration inside and outside your teamAdvise Product Owners on the complexity, risk, and time required to complete development projectsMentor team membersBe a great teammate – carry your load, help out, be flexible and adapt easily to changing product needs based on customers and the marketQualificationsRequired:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent professional experience4+ years experience or combination experience, education, & superior performanceSeasoned professional in Java as well as JavaScript/TypeScriptSubstantial experience with web application developmentProven ability to create enterprise-scale application designs using proven industry patterns and best practicesDemonstrated commitment to quality and continuous improvementMotivated worker with the ability to be productive in a fast paced team environmentExcellent problem solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiencesExperience with AWS (Serverless emphasis)

Experience in leading software development teams and mentoring junior developers is strongly recommendedExperience designing IaC, ideally using CDK or TerraformExperience with large data stored in MySql/PostGres databasesExperience with AuroraDBPassion for software developmentCollaboration, prioritization, and adaptability skills
