    The Care Solutions Technical Product Owner (Agile Product Management Senior Advisor) is focused on the components of the product and delivery strategy and acts as a conduit between the Agile Team(s) and the Customer (for this role: internal, client-facing organizations as well as Cigna/Evernorth clients).

    The TPO partners closely with the Release Train Engineer, scrum masters, and the engineering team and delivery leads to ensure that the product roadmap and overall delivery strategy is in alignment with the business strategy roadmap as defined by business lead(s).

    The TPO is also responsible for decomposing portfolio and program epics into features and user stories that are fully documented, prioritized, and "ready" for the engineering team to plan, execute on, and deliver.

    Additionally, the TPO plays a critical role in testing new functionality, accepting work as complete, coordinating demos, and publishing release notes in preparation for production deployment.


    Must be a current contractor with Cigna, Express Scripts, or Evernorth. Evernorth is a new business within the Cigna Corporation.

    Responsibilities:

    • Represents the voice of the customer, ensuring that their needs are met, and incremental value is delivered frequently
    • Own delivery strategy including managing the technical product roadmap, continually refine the feature and user story backlog, identify technical dependencies, and manage acceptance/feedback strategy
    • Write, prioritize, sequence, test, and accept features, user stories, and defects
    • Exhibit excellent judgment on how to prioritize between focusing on features, architectural improvements, and operational excellence
    • Write and distribute release notes for each production deployment
    • Partner with the engineering team to manage both customer and production support
    • Develop deep knowledge of the care solutions domain by working closely with leaders, peers, and end users to determine needs for product roadmap direction
    • Communicate progress to relevant stakeholders (including internal Cigna stakeholders)

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in a technical field (computer science, engineering, or information technology)
    • Experience working with relational data, ETL, analytics & front-end visualization, such as tableau and angular
    • Experience in healthcare environment is preferred
    • Experience driving agile and/or lean product development with demonstrated record of delivering solutions to internal stakeholders and/or external market segments, ideally in a Product Owner, Product Manager, or Release Train Engineer role, is preferred
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills is required; individual must be polished and professional, and have experience interacting with senior leadership. Must demonstrate a high "EQ" (emotional intelligence) in all situations.
    • Strong business acumen is preferred
    • Experience building use cases based on expected value and estimate costs is required
    • Flexibility to change course based on business needs is required
    • Experience with Rally or Jira for documenting project requirements is preferred
    • Strategic thinking is required; must be able to track to goals and deadlines in the context of the big picture

    For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 109, ,100 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

    This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
