Surgical First Assistant: Surgical Technologist may perform in the capacity of a first assist if he or she is a graduate of an surgical assistant first assistant program that included didactic and supervised clinical practice, is based on The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting requirements in 200201, 400201,
If uncertified, incumbent is required to complete at least 15 hours of continuing education concerning the practice of surgical technology upon completion of first year of employment and on an annual basis thereafter. If certified, incumbent must maintain minimum qualifications in order to maintain certification.
Computer / Typing:
Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computers skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
